Warp Quest
This method can earn you around 10,000 Gil in just an hour. To begin, you’ll need 1,000 Gil to purchase a slime oil. Once you have the slime oil, take it to an NPC named “Unlucky Rat” in the Metal district of Bastok. In exchange, you’ll receive a Warp Scroll, which you can sell for around 7,000 to 10,000 Gil at the auction house.
It sounds easy, but there is a slight complication. You’ll need enough fame built up before the NPC will accept the slime oil from you. To build fame, you will need to complete low-level missions around town, which can be time-consuming. However, once you have enough fame, this is a great method for beginners to earn Gil quickly.
If you want to repeat this quest, you can create a mule account, transfer 1,000 Gil to that character, and repeat the process.
Justice Badge Quest
The Justice Badge quest is another simple method to earn Gil, located in Windurst. To complete the quest, you’ll need 1 Rabab Tail and 4 Wild Onions. You can buy a stack of Rabab Tail at the auction house for 50-100 Gil. It’s an easy quest that low-level players can complete.
Once you have the Rabab Tail, head to the docks in Windurst, where you’ll find an NPC to hand it to. In exchange, you’ll receive a Justice Badge, which sells for 500-2,000 Gil at the auction house. After receiving the badge, give the NPC 4 Wild Onions, and they will reward you with a scroll that can sell for up to 5,000 Gil. Like the Warp Quest, you can use a mule to repeat this quest and earn even more Gil.
Fire Crystals
A stack of Fire Crystals can easily sell for around 2,000 Gil at the auction house. There are two good methods for collecting Fire Crystals:
1. Battling Mobs
This is the most common method and requires you to defeat enemies. You should be around level 7-10 to start this method. First, head to your town gates and have a Signet cast on you. Then, head north to Gustaberg, where you can find plenty of Vultures. Focus on killing the Vultures only to maximize your time.
Alternatively, you can head to the area northwest of San d’Oria, where you’ll find plenty of Orcs. These Orcs also drop a decent amount of Fire Crystals. On average, you can gather about 3 stacks of Fire Crystals per hour, which can net you 6,000 Gil per hour as a level 7-10 player.
2. Gardening
The second method involves gardening. First, purchase a Brass Flowerpot from the auction house, along with several vegetable seeds and some Water Crystals. In your Mog House, plant the flowerpot and add the vegetable seeds. Feed the plant with Water Crystals, and in 1-3 days, you will harvest 17 Fire Crystals per pot.
You can have up to 6-8 flowerpots in your Mog House, which allows you to make 20,000 to 30,000 Gil every 2-3 days. This method only takes a few minutes to set up, and it’s an excellent long-term investment. It’s practically like growing money on trees!
